Formal opening of the new case and exhibit management unit "VAST"
The BKA inaugurates part of its new forensic science location. The new VAST will be the centre-piece of the forensic science location established for all forensics units of the BKA. As a Single Point of Contact, the VAST will be the new "face" of all BKA forensic science units at national and international level. Among other things, new laboratories are available for an initial assessment of exhibits, making it possible to transmit images to the adjacent conference room by means of special video transmission technology and thus enabling other persons to view the exhibits without being in direct contact with them.
